17 seconds after the last CNR1 time pip, as heard on
my audio clip); Jakarta news (item about quake in Chile,
etc.); 1223 patriotic song "Garuda Pancasila" (on audio
clip); again with RRI jingle and ".. FM Programa Empat
RRI Makassar"; only QRM at this time was faint CNR1.
This was sounding more like the decent reception we had
in past years from them.

he heard them on Nov 10, from 0930 on-and-off till 1500*, ending
with "Pulau Ambon." Not heard since by Hiroyuki, nor by myself
on Nov 13 &14. Looks like a one day event, but worth keeping an
eye on this frequency for a while.
3904.981 (Wolfy's recent measurement), Pro 1 RRI Merauke, 1441-1501*,
Nov 13. In Bahasa Indonesia; program pop hit songs in English (Celine
Dion "My Heart Will Go On," Diana Ross & Lionel Richie "Endless Love,"

which is also called "Pulau Ambon" (Island of Ambon), composed by
George de Fretes.
Nov 14, RRI Merauke, at 1304, with the Jakarta news till patriotic song

today (Dec 9). First heard definite open carrier at 1349 through
subsequent monitoring till 1438, but never strong enough for any

RRI-Ternate might are doing a broadcast by dropping the transmission output.
It was a much weaker signal than when it previously received. I was able to
confirm somehow the noise and interference was small.

for Indonesian reception; checked Wamena again at 1243 and
found them off the air (more technical problems so soon?).
Atsunori Ishida's website indicates 1237*. Hope they will be
broadcasting again tomorrow!
9525.0, VOI, 1314-1318, April 17. A day of very good propagation!
Fairly readable; "Today in History" segment during their hour of
English (Indonesian Muslim Student Movement established on
this date 1960, Bay of Pigs (Cuba) invasion this date 1961 and
19 peasant farmers killed in Brazil this date 1996 (resulting in
April 17 being held as International Day of Peasant Struggles).
Rare to catch such clear audio!

recently reported, RRI Palangkaraya remains silent too, as of July 11.
So the only Indonesian I am currently hearing is Voice of Indonesia on
9525.94 kHz., with a fairly decent signal.

INDONESIA. 7289.92, RRI Nabire, reactivated on SW. 0808-1026*,
Aug 2. Decent signal, but up against summertime QRN (static). Also
heard at the same time today by Dave Valko (PA - USA). My edited
audio at http://goo.gl/yu3ZNL .
Highlights:
0808-0900: Mostly non-stop songs; very few announcements.
0900-0910: Reciting from the Qur'an.
0910-1013: Mostly non-stop songs, with SA at 0931 (able to only hear
"Radio Republik Indonesia").
1013-1026*: Indigenous music, into monologue, till suddenly cut off.
There are probably two good reasons why this has been reactivated
now. It will be recalled that August 17 is Independence Day (Hari Merdeka)
in Indonesia.
Also Aug 18 through Sept 2, Jakarta and Palembang will host the 18th Asian
Games (https://en.asiangames2018.id/), which will hold major sporting events.
Worth checking for other re-activations this month.

The ID I heard was actually given at 09:32:04 UT (on DFS's audio/video
at 0:51). His audio also contains another clear ID at 2:00 (10:02:55 UT).
Wonderful to have this station back on the air again!

fairly good signal strength, but strong summertime QRN (static) reduced
the quality of reception. Highlights:
0815-0824: Chatting with people at some event; background sounds.
0824: Clear SA ("Radio Republik Indonesia Nabire") and patriotic song
釘agimu Negeri・(For You Our Country), a song composed in 1942, by
Kusbini (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIep7XkDPL8); followed
by music program.
0901-0910*: Reciting from the Qur'an. Certainly no regular cut off time
noted so far.
