JAPAN. 8006 kHz., HFD Radio Station JG2XA, 1410 UT (11:10 PM JST), on July 15. CW IDs now given every
10 minutes (formerly given every 2 minutes). 5006 kHz. remains with open carrier and no IDs yet. 200W
signal strength remains fairly decent. Brief audio clip attached. Ron (Calif.)

Thank you so much for sending the sound file of our Morse. It is really nice to hear that the Morse is clear
even in the west coast. We are interested in obtaining scientific data (i.e., received signal intensity or
Doppler frequency) from your place. If we can develop a small (and cheap) receiving probably using software
radios, that kind of measurement at a remote place would be possible.
When we start sending Morse at 5006 kHz, we will let you be informed of it.
