KOREA SOUTH. 7200, National Unity Radio, 1147 UT, on March 10 (Wednesday). Checking for the normal
weekday English language lesson, but instead found a brief Chinese language lesson; started and ended
with child singing Chinese jingle; mostly in Korean; gave a few words in Chinese and sentence - "N? shi shei?"
(Who are you?). My audio is at http://bit.ly/3l4kabg . On March 11, at 1145 UT, another Chinese language
lesson, so the English lessons are permanently gone?
MALAYSIA. 9835, Sarawak FM, via Kajang (on the west coast of the Malaysia peninsular - not from Sarawak),
1055-1059 UT, on March 10. The Islamic Maghrib (sunset prayer) call-to-prayer; fair-good. The call-to-prayer is
distinctively different from the routine reciting from the Qur'an and is only about 3-4 minutes long.
11665, Wai FM, via Kajang, 1031 UT, March 10. DJ in vernacular; again with the long standing very poor audio.
No one from this station seems to ever listen to their output!
MYANMAR. 5985, Radio Myanmar, on March 11, at 1155 & 1207 UT. Only hearing an open carrier (dead air).
?
PAPUA NEW GUINEA/BOUGAINVILLE[non-logs]. At 0916 & 0936 UT, on March 10. No NBC Madang (3260),
no NBC Bougainville (3325) and also no signal from Wantok Radio Light (7325).
TAIWAN. 6215 // 6230 // 6280, Sound of Hope, 1200 UT, on March 11. Unusually strong signal on all three
frequencies; SA "Xiwang zhi sheng guoji guangbo diantai" (Sound of Hope international broadcast station)
given twice (once by OM and once by YL); into the news; all with no CNR1 jamming, which is rarely heard
here; considerable QRN (static). My audio is at http://bit.ly/3l6V2kn .
UNIDENTIFIED. 6235-USB, 0644 UT, March 8. Chatting in French. ? ?
