Re: Chinese Music Station (Music only NOT Firedrake) -
Glimmer Twin Nov 15 (Sat), 2025 19:53 UTC No.5713 I've been hearing the Chinese Music Station for several weeks on various European Kiwisdr's
18:00-20:00 UTC on 6160 kHz and 7305 kHz
It seems to be connected to the CRI German language service as both frequencies coincide with 2025 HFCC schedule:
https://new.hfcc.org/data/schedbybrc.php?seas=B25&broadc=CRI
Aso in the current ENIGMA 2000 newsletter, there is a short article about "the Chinese Music Station:
http://www.signalshed.com/newsletters/En151.pdf
it says: Chinese Music Station:-
The two-hour broadcast of music from China starting at 1800 UTC with an announcement in German first noted in the late spring has continued
through the summer and into autumn, always with the same music, originally was on 13810 kHz then moved to 11650 in early July but in September
noted that both frequencies were used in parallel.
Was on both frequencies when monitored on 17-October but was only on 11650 on the 22nd. Not heard on either frequency in towards the end of
October but tuning around a couple of days ago found it on 6160 kHz in the 49 metre band. Still starts at 1800z which with the end of BST is now
6 PM, and still with the same musical items and announcement in German at the start and finish.
The variant with a start-up in Portuguese is interesting; the music on the recording is not of the same quality as regards composition as the 1800z
transmission - in my opinion any way- but the first track also appears in the 1800z sending. 2200 UTC seems a bit late in the evening for a target
audience in Portugal but perhaps it is intended for reception in Brazil where Portuguese is spoken.
Something of a puzzle as to what this is all about; perhaps the frequencies are being kept active in case at some point in the future the Chinese
might want to broadcast speech programming in these languages which at the moment they don't believe there would be enough listeners to make it
worth while but that might change if, for example, the long-expected Chinese invasion of Taiwan was to kick off and Beijing would want to make
their point of view known over the air-waves inthe world's major languages.

Hi Glenn,
Do not believe this is true! Since Voice of the People and Echo of Hope - VOH went silent from broadcasting from
South Korea, now North Korea has used those jammers against Shiokaze/Sea Breeze instead. Also take the example of
KBS on 6015, in the past it was always slightly jammed and I often enjoyed hearing the "News at Nine" at 1200 UT,
in Korean, but on July 28, I checked at 1040 UT and for the very first time heard super jamming white noise from
N. Korea. Rendering KBS totally unusable! So they have not stopped jamming, at least as far as I have currently heard.
CLANDESTINE. new 7235 (ex: 7340), National Unity Radio (National Unification Broadcasting - Unification Media Group),
broadcasting from Taiwan to N. Korea, 1245-1258* UT, Nov 24 (Monday); cut off in mid-song. Heard at the beach; it took
me a while to find the new frequency. Schedule 1100-1300 UT.
Google audio translation: ". . . father who gives for his children and expects nothing in return, and it moves many.
Realizing a father's love too late, we feel the heart of a parent who gives everything but feels sorry. What about
an example? It goes downhill, and it will continue today and tomorrow, right? Before it's too late, let's tell that
father that we love our parents and change that village?
I'll always be by your side, with you all. I'll finish Monday's schedule. Finally, I'll send you, my adolescents, a
song about adolescence at the fun-sounding female singer group Dolimba. Until the day you can freely access culture,
chat, and spend a comfortable night reading, I will always be by your side. Thank you for listening. So long. This is
Lee Jung-soon. And. That was it. See you again. I'll be waiting tomorrow."
Here is an interesting article about the Koran radio situation, from Sept 30:
https://www.dailynk.com/english/the-shocking-end-of-52-years-of-broadcasts-to-n-korea/ :
"After 52 years of broadcasting hope into the darkness of North Korea, the silence is deafening. South Korea’s National Intelligence
Service (NIS) has pulled the plug on these vital transmissions—a decision that left me stunned and dismayed. What makes
this even more shocking is the timing: NIS Director Lee Jong-seok made this choice less than a month into his tenure.
This isn’t just a policy shift; it’s an abandonment of the state’s most fundamental duty and a clear violation of law.
North Koreans live in almost complete isolation, cut off from the outside world. These broadcasts represent their only
window to see beyond their borders. No previous administration has ever had the NIS suspend radio broadcasts to North
Korea, making this truly unprecedented. The flow of information into North Korea remains our most effective and strategic
weapon for bringing about change within North Korean society. Civilian organizations have long wrestled with this same challenge: how to effectively deliver information to North Koreans. . . ."

MYANMAR. 5985, Myanmar Radio, 1433+ UT (11:33+ PM JST), Nov 28 (Friday), heard via Kiwi SDR remote at Cha-Am,
Thailand; 1433-1511, no "Friday Night Live Show," as normally heard; instead a special "Friday Night Live Show,"
not held in the usual small studio, but instead in a much larger hall; from 1511+, the 5985 audio became // to
live video streaming audio from MRTV-HD ( https://mrtv.gov.mm/mm/live-stream ) [1500, MRTV-HD had "International
News" in Burmese]. After 1511 UT, aired the following program of indigenous music/singing, which I both heard
and watched till past 1620+ UT:
"MRTV broadcasts creative 'Friday Night Live Show' to entertain the public, and will also air a live music concert
marking the 100th anniversary of the Mandalay Myoma Amateur Musical Association on MRTV-HD Channel and MRTV
Entertainment Channel on 28 November. The pre-century singing contest was held with the classical songs of great
Myoma composers such as Nan Taw Shae Saya Tin and Alinga Kyaw Swa Myoma Nyein, and the first, second and third
prize winners will sing the memorable songs of Myoma Band together with famous singers and Myoma’s permanent
singers. The live streaming of the music concert marking the centenary celebration of the Mandalay Myoma Amateur
Musical Association will be on MRTV-HD Channel, MRTV Entertainment Channel, Entertainment Sector of MRTV App and
MRTV Telegram."
As well as an audio feed to 5985, which was out of sync with the TV audio.

Hi Glenn - Recently National Unity Radio moved to 7235 and for a while was not jammed by North Korea
(per my recent recording), but today noticed the jamming has finally moved from ex: 7340 to the current
7235. So here is another example of N. Korea still jamming another station that is directed towards their
country.
CLANDESTINE. new 7235 (ex: 7340), National Unity Radio (National Unification Broadcasting - Unification
Media Group), broadcasting from Taiwan to N. Korea, 1138-1139 [8:38 - 8:39 PM JST] (ex: 1240-1241), Nov 28
(Friday); distinctive theme music followed by the usual brief segment in Korean with a quotation in English,
"A wise man changes his mind, a fool never will," a Spanish and Japanese proverb, per online sources.
